About Me (The Momma)

6:30 a.m. 5:30 a.m. any given day:

Get up. Brush Teeth. Get Dressed. Drink Coffee… relax…

Check e-mail. Check Facebook. Check Twitter. Check clock… sigh…

After a couple hours of work:
Wake up Oldest. Wake up Middle. Try VERY hard not to wake up baby… shhhhh!

Breakfast Served. Book bags packed. Car loaded…YEA!
(It’s the little accomplishments that make me smile the most sometimes!)

And it’s only…

8:30 a.m.

I am on-the-go all the time.

Do you ever look back at your day and wonder how you fit it all in?

Have you ever wished for just ONE. MORE. HOUR all too yourself?

I have. I do. And that’s where this blog fits in.

I am a mom of three and a wife to one. And looking back at my life, even before I had my children, I have always been busy and on-the-go.

And do you know what? I think I like it that way?!

Life is never dull when you’re on-the-go.
Life is FULL of stories when you’re on-the-go!

So here’s what keeps me busy:

My oldest, my middle and my baby:
3 Kids
My husband:

and (of course) my dog:

Other stuff:

I am a trained graphic artist. I graduated from college with a focus in graphic design, communication, marketing and music.

Pre-mommyhood, I used to work in the busy, on-the-go world of advertising. LOVED IT! In hindsight, working 60-hours a week was great preparation for having kids.

Currently I am a staff member with the National Association of Mothers’ Centers, an adjunct graphic design instructor, a freelance graphic designer recovering workaholic, writer wanna-be, taxi-cab driven’, food servin’ (not gourmet, but it gets done), round ’em all up, not-so-perfect, momma extraordinaire.

(Yes, my kids unfortunately call me momma. Yes, I know you can spell momma as “mama” and “mamma.” Yes I chose momma and my husband thinks I’ve misspelled it. No, I am NOT going to change it!)

Oh yeah, and I also blog at Mothers Central.

So head on back to my home page and see what I’m writing about today!

Adorably cute family, all of you. Okay – I have seen enough for now. You people are too good looking – must dash! (-:

I’m honored that you visited and took the time to read about my “cute” family… Just you wait though – I have MANY a not-too-cute photo of our action packed days… If only my 8-year-old wasn’t… well… 8!?! (Because she is VERY critical about when I take photos of her!)

  4. Well, my morning coffee blog reading didn’t happen. In fact, as soon as I tweeted that, I had sippy cups to fill, fights to break up, dogs to take out…you know the drill 🙂
BUT I came back and am glad I did. Your family is precious and your blog is fantabulous!

    • Kate says:

So glad you stopped by to check out my blog… even if not during your previously envisioned morning coffee-reading blog time 🙂 Good to know, I’m not the only one getting interrupted by sippy cups, child “fights” and annoying dogs during planned, “supposed” blog reading time! LOL. Better luck tomorrow??? 🙂

We go through spurts… today was a early day (middle got up at 6). Yesterday was a late day (baby got up at 9:30 – which really messed up his nap!) LOVE to see you are embracing my spelling for “momma” 🙂 Ha!

Hi there! Landing here from Literal Mom today. Love it that you spell it “momma.” My mom always spelled it that way, so it makes me smile. I, too, have always been an on-the-go person. My momma calls it “running the roads.” 🙂 I’m a new momma myself, and I’m very happy to have found another blog I can get lost in while I’m feeding the baby. Again. Off to read more of you now!

Hope you enjoyed reading some more on my blog space! Thanks for visiting. I didn’t start blogging here until this past summer so I am fairly new to it too! Wish I would have known about blogging during those late nights when my baby was up! 😉 Happy reading!

  10. What a great group! Can’t wait to learn more!!

So nice of you to stop by! I think I found you initially via Jessica’s (Four Plus and Angel) Facebook post to “like” bloggers. LOVED your facebook post today about hypothetical grocery trips with husband-related permission – LOL!
